A fundraiser is preparing to auction herself off as a waitress for one night only to raise money for a little girl who has cancer.
Louise Smart, of Wellingborough, has organised the event at the Level Three nightclub in Kettering to raise money for the family of three-year-old Chelsea Knighton, of Irthlingborough, who are trying to collect £180,000 so they can send the three-year-old to America for treatment.
Miss Smart and Chelsea's cousin Alison Malin have already raised more than £1,000 by sitting in a bath of beans at JJ's pub in Higham Ferrers for eight hours.
She said: "I'm just trying to come up with different things to raise money for Chelsea and thought putting myself and a few other people into an auction would be a good idea.
"The idea is that people will be able to bid for us and in return we will effectively become their waitresses and waiters in the club for the night.
"They will also get a certificate of ownership for the evening.
"We're also going to hold a raffle too."
Chelsea was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called acute neuroblastoma late last year.
Other fundraising events which have been held for her have included a headshave and a darts event at Irthlingborough Town Band Club. A table-top sale will be held in Wellingborough next month.
The auction will start at the club in Kettering High Street at 8pm on Saturday and admission is £5.
Anyone who is interested in auctioning themselves to raise money for Chelsea can call 07824 766434.
If anyone has ideas for other events, or can help out at future fundraisers, they can call Chelsea's aunt, Sam Knighton, on 07862 154199.
