Employees at a car and van haulier have said dozens of workers could lose their jobs as part of the company's announcement to restructure.
Employees at Camden Corporate Fleet Services, in Islip, have contacted the Evening Telegraph saying they have been told their jobs are at risk at the company.

One employee who has worked for the company for a number of years, but wanted to remain
anonymous, said: "I have been a loyal employee to the company for a number of years but have just learned I could be losing my job.

"There are about 80 people who work for the company at Islip and about half of them will be losing their jobs.

"The company said it was going to hold a 30-day consultation period. It's terrible and is going to impact a lot of people."

Camden Corporate Fleet Services is a cars and vans company which provides vehicles for companies.

The group has bases in Leighton Buzzard, Islip, Corby and Livingston.

It also refurbishes and repairs damaged vehicles.

Managing director Wendy Harrison said: "Camden Group Services can confirm that it is currently going through a consultation process with some staff at its Islip operation as the business restructures to provide more competitive services for its customers.

"As the consultation is still in progress, no further comment can be provided on this matter."

The possible job losses follow a series of redundancy announcements at Barclaycard, Quebecor and Avon.

unfortunately its the motor trade not the best business to be in. Been there myself a couple of times and i know its heartbreaking especially when you are 100% committed to the company but its all about profit and that will never change. I currently work for a group who have just made 2,000+ redundant, the trade will see more over the next few months...
