Hunt for men in axe raid on Northampton pub

Axe-wielding robbers stole a large amount of cash from a Northampton pub after threatening a woman member of staff.
Two men got into the Hopping Hare pub in Harlestone Road, Duston, through a back entrance between 11am and midnight on Friday.

One of the men threatened the woman with an axe before the robbers stole what police said is a considerable amount of money.

Both men were white and wore hoods and scarves and one wore a silver Puffa-style jacket.

Police have asked anyone with information to call them on 08453 700700 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800555111
