A masked man armed with a knife threatened a shop assistant before escaping with cash.
The robber entered the shop in Stephenson Way, Corby, at about 7.40am yesterday and threatened a female shop assistant, who handed over a small amount of cash.

The man, who was white, made off on a bicycle and wore a dark hooded top with the hood up and a scarf across his face.

The recent British Crime Survey showed four violent offences involving knives are committed every week in the county.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident in Corby or who may have any information about it.

Witnesses can contact Northamptonshire Police on 08453 700 700 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
