PR guru Max Clifford will be among an expected 21,000 people to attend a major three-day construction event in Corby.
The Site Equipment Demonstration begins today at Rockingham Speedway, with hundreds of exhibitors lined up to sell their wares.

Big names including Land Rover, Nissan, Caterpillar and JCB will feature in the show, alongside local names including C
orby firm Noteboom Trailers.

Mr Clifford will help launch the world’s first battery-operated dump truck today and TV personality Keith Chegwin will be competing in the Tyrolit Cutting Pro Competition from 11.30am until 4pm tomorrow.

Louise Murphy, of SED, said: “This will be SED’s third year at Rockingham Motor Speedway and is officially the biggest show staged in its 42-year history.

“We are hoping to see more than 20,000 visitors over the three days of the show. Many of the SED visitors and exhibitors stay in and around the Corby during build-up and show days.

“It’s unlikely there will be a hotel room to be had within a 40-mile radius of the event.

“The economy has benefited greatly from SED and it has been estimated that the local trades benefit from a cash injection of approximately £4m.”

Entry to the SED is free.
