A group of students have completed a non-stop 24-hour run to raise money for a children’s charity.
The team of 16 girls from Oundle School ran an average of 38.9km each, split into 15-minute blocks throughout the day.
They started on indoor treadmills on Saturday evening before finishing on the school’s running track the next day.
Alice Rockall, 18, one of the organisers, said: “We ran an amazing total of 613.16 km, which is the equivalent of running 14.8 marathons.
“We have really appreciated all the support over the weekend and would like to thank everyone who helped and donated money to our cause.”
The group has raised £1,600 so far for CCHF All About Kids, a charity which provides holidays for inner-city children.
