Youngsters mixed with children of other ages and learned about healthy eating at a Food, Friendship and Frenzy day.

Children who took part in the event at South End Infants School in Rushden yesterday were put into groups of mixed ages, with each group named after an animal.

They also went to an assembly on friendship given by Year 11 pupils from Rushden Community College.

Deputy headteacher at South End Infants School Karen Mason said: “Our Food, Friendship and Frenzy day was planned to enhance the children’s understanding of a healthy lifestyle through healthy eating, understanding the importance of exercise and learning more strategies to deal with friendship issues such as falling out or feeling lonely.”
