DIY shop workers to take the plunge

Staff at a DIY company are pushing themselves to the edge to raise money for charity.
Employees at West End DIY’s stores in the county are taking part in a 13,000ft skydive lasting 50 seconds on April 7 at Sibson airfield in aid of the Neurofibromatosis Association.
Neurofibromatosis is a genetic condition which in some cases can affect the nervous system, create tumours and cause deafness and mobility problems.
West End DIY Rushden store branch manager Anthony Cunningham, 27, has a friend who has the condition.
He said: “I want to raise awareness about the condition as well as raising money.”
Eack skydiver needs to raise at least £300. Collection buckets for donations are at West End DIY’s stores in Rushden, Wellingborough, Desborough, Corby and Northampton.
