Town band battles for festival place

Five-piece Northampton metal band Held Beneath will battle for a place at the Bloodstock festival tonight.
The band, which formed in 2007, have been busy playing across the region and are in the process of recording new material.

Tonight they take part in the heats for Battle For Bloodstock in Leicester.

The overall winning band will play at Bloodstock festival this year, which is the biggest independent metal festival in the UK.

The winner will also be in with a chance of playing at the Wacken festival in Germany next year.

Tickets for tonight's gig at Retribution in Leicester cost £3 and doors open at 8pm.
