Macy Gray, Supergrass and Simian Mobile Disco headline the Leicester Summer Sundae Weekender next month.
The festival, which is now in its eighth year, has won awards including Best Small Festival in 2006 and last year was one of only 10 festivals to be awarded the new A Greener Festival Red Kite Mark for reaching a high standard of environmental awareness.

Since 2001 the Summer Sundae has hosted some of the best live bands, established and up and coming names, an eclectic mix in all styles and genres.

The line-up this year looks stronger than ever with performances from The Coral, Cold War Kids and Reverend and the Makers.

The three-day event kicks off on Friday, August 8 and will include 100 acts across six stages at De Montfort Hall.

The Friday line-up includes Supergrass, The Coral, King Creosote, Noah And The Whale and Lionheart Brothers.

Saturday night is headlined by Macy Gray, who will be joined by the likes of Henry Rollins, Dodgy, Jersey Budd, Kyte and Tom Baxter.

Sunday will include Simian Mobile Disco, Reverend And The Makers, Cold War Kids, Lightspeed Champion and Jose Gonzalez.

The Complete Wasters will be on hand to help recycle plastic bottles, cardboard, paper and glass, as well as compostable food waste and used vegetable oil from food traders.

All the bars and food outlets will be using compostable pint glasses, plates and cutlery.

Also returning is the 'no butts' policy, where festivalgoers are given film canisters in which to stub out their cigarette ends.

Tickets cost £95 for the full weekend.

There are also special offers for families, including adult and two children for just £154.

Day tickets cost £40 for Saturday and Sunday and £35 for Friday.

A weekend-long camping ticket is priced at £5.

For the full range of offers and to book tickets visit www.tixmob.com.
There is a booking fee of £4 for each adult ticket purchased.
