The Northampton band have made it through to the regional finals of Live and Unsigned 2008, having battled through qualifying rounds and a recent live gig in Wolverhampton.
Live and Unsigned – a national music competition for unsigned bands and singers – is one of the country's biggest music talent searches in the UK.
Racune singer Tasmin Culum said: "To have reached the regional finals is fantastic.
"The competition so far has been a lot of fun and plenty of hard work too.
"Each act having only three minutes to prove their worth is terrifying but awesome at the same time, and because of this the emotions back stage are out of this world but everyone is supporting each other and having fun."
"We would like to get through to the final to have the opportunity to play with the best of the best in London."
Racune are now competing for a place in the national finals, with the possibility of winning a record contract.
The overall adult winner wins a recording and management contract with Future Music, with an investment of up to £20,000 to release their single.
The winner will be crowned the UK's best Live and Unsigned act in front of a capacity crowd at Fairfield Halls, London, in June.
Racune will be compete against other hopefuls at Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton, on April 13 for a place in the National Grand final.
