Sukie, Danny Connors, The Sport, The Steers, Miller's Hag, The Brownies, The Voluntary Butler Scheme and Wowee Zowee are among the names which will play the two-day festival across the town next month.
There will also be a collection of artwork an
d photographs from local and national artists as part of You Can Create – an exhibition inspired by the debut album by the James Chapman-fronted Maps.
The recent film portraying the life of Joy Division frontman Ian
Curtis, Control, will also be shown.
Middle Of Nowhere have also confirmed there will be a series of music worships covering different aspects of the music industry and Skint Disco, Inspiration and Shakedown club nights.
Co-organiser of the inaugural music and arts festival Anthony Antell said: "Our town has long cried out for its own nationally-recognised event which everyone could be proud of.
"Hopefully Middle Of Nowhere will be the start of putting our town on the map."
The festival will take place at venues including the Soundhaus and New Roadmender, the Fishmarket, The Labour Club and the University of Northampton from May 2 to 4.
