The event, which is part of the Woodford Rock Nights series, starts at 7pm and will feature eight bands over the three days.
The bands playing include some of the UK's top tribute bands sharing the stage with a host of local talent.
The gigs wi
ll take place at the Woodford Halse Social Club and the Woodford United Football Club.
Today's and tomorrow's gigs are at the social club, with the football club hosting all the music on Sunday.
The line-up tonight sees local band Axletree with their mix of rock covers and original material kicking off the weekender.
They will be joined by '80s rock covers band Rockstar and headliners Live-Wire, who are a tribute act to AC/DC.
Doors open at 7pm.
Tomorrow Banbury-based The Fontaines will kick things off at 3pm with a lively set of covers and original material.
The Who tribute band My-Generation will then play ahead of headliners Boot-Led-Zeppelin.
On Sunday the Soley Mourning will kick off proceedings at the football club at midday.
They will be joined by The Sirens Call.
All the gigs are scheduled to take place inside but if weather permits Sunday's gig may be held outside.
Camping facilities are available for the whole weekend but should be arranged beforehand.
There will be hot and cold food and bar facilities at each venue, with a pig roast on Saturday.

Tickets on the door cost £15 each for the Friday and Saturday nights and £3 for Sunday.
A combined ticket for Friday and Saturday is available for £25 but must be bought in advance.
