LES HORNBY admitted his Wellingborough Town side were "very poor" as they went down 2-1 at struggling Potton United.
The Doughboys boss said: "We weren't up for it and they were. They're fighting for their lives at the bottom and it showed.

"The pitch was atrocious – it looked like a ploughed field – but we can't use that an excuse because we simply were very poor."

Potton netted twice in the second half through Nathan Frater and John Mulholland to wrap up the points while Jed Ainge scored a late consolation for the visitors.

Wellingborough man of the match: Matt Green.
