Stewarts & Lloyds go in search of six of the best at Occupation Road this evening.
But manager Steve Noble certainly isn't expecting an easy ride against Eagle Bitter UCL Premier Division new boys Rothwell Corinthians.

Noble returned to his old club Desborough Town at the weekend and saw his present side register their fifth win
this season with a 4-2 success.

Corinthians made a number of changes as they suffered a 5-0 defeat at Division One club Peterborough Northern Star in the Knockout Cup. But they did collect their first league win against Cogenhoe United the
previous Saturday.

And Noble is taking nothing for granted as the leaders

prepare for their second local derby in the space of three days.

He said: "All we have to do is try and keep the momentum going because we have had a good start.

"We weren't at our best at the weekend and it is always hard away from home. But we managed to come away with the win which was great.

"I think Corinthians struggled with the pace of the league early on. But I know some of their players and they are honest and hard-working.

"They will become very difficult to beat and if we are not at our best they will be ready to hurt us."

Corinthians boss Frank Ielapi is feeling confident about tonight's short trip – although he knows his team face a big task if they are to return with a maximum haul.

He said: "The games don't get any easier. Yet I always feel confident before any game.

"We need more points on the board. But they are a good side and it will be hard."

Ielapi is boosted by the returns of Sam Johnson, Mick Coles and Tom Cross.
S&L from: Lavin, Stanton, Malone, Caswell, Mills, Forbes, Doherty,
Sneddon, Djeneralovic, Byrne, Johnson, McClarty, Cottingham, McGillick.
Rothwell Corinthians from:
Wilson, Torrance, Deacon, Campion, Fox, B Johnson, Morris, S Johnson, Coles, Ielapi, Cossey, Cross, Judge, Briffa.

RAUNDS TOWN boss Colin Ridgway wants his side to get their home form moving against St Neots.

After the euphoria of their FA Cup win the Shopmates were given a cold dose of reality on Saturday when they were thrashed 4-1 by second-placed Long Buckby.

"It was definitely a case of after the Lord Mayor's Show. We looked jaded," said Ridgway.

"But we'll pick ourselves up because we need to bounce back. Our home form was our strong point last season and we need that to happen again."
Ridgway no longer has David Coales to call upon after he left the club at the weekend.

Goalkeeper Mike Hearn (ankle) and Dane Ridgway (ill) are also out.

Either Phil Turner or Dan Maber will replace Hearn in goal while Ben
Singleton, Jake Upton, Ben Allington and Joe Moriarty are all added.
Raunds from: Maber, Turner, Upton, Russell, Frid, Mitchell, Singleton, G Turner, Willmott, Jarvis, Taylor, CRidgway, Davis, Spaughton,
Allington, Chambers, Moriarty.

JASON BURNHAM admits it's already 'must-win' time for Wellingborough Town.

They will be back in action at the Dog & Duck against Potton United who have only picked up two points from four games while the Doughboys are also off to a slow start this season.

Burnham said: "We need to start finding some wins.

"This is a good chance to get going and pick up some momentum because winning can become a habit.

"It would be a big boost for us going into Saturday's home game against Long Buckby."

However, Wellingborough may be without striker Leon Morgan (thigh) and former Potton player-manager Dean Chapman is still sidelined.

The Doughboys drew 1-1 against Cogenhoe United at the weekend with Burnham left disappointed. He added: "We didn't play very well in the first half.

"But then we picked things up and should have gone on to win the game when we looked more dangerous.

"The trouble is that it was always going to be a tough match with so many ex-Wellingborough players raising their game on their return."
Wellingborough from: Finlay,

Parkinson, Harris, Urquhart, Fuller, Fountain, Murphy, Avill, Mitchell,
Morgan, Thompson, Randall, Hazell, Mason, Ellwood.

LIFE gets no easier for Desborough Town as they travel to Long Buckby.

Having lost 4-2 at home to leaders S&L on Saturday, Ar Tarn must now face the side currently second and on a run of four straight wins following their weekend win over Raunds Town.

Desborough, meanwhile, have lost three of their pening four. But boss Dave Williams feels he saw enough against S&L to give him
confidence for tonight's game.

"That's three times now this season we've had a man sent off and it makes life difficult for us," said Williams.

"It shows a lack of discipline and also some bad luck, too.

"I was pleased with how we played against S&L and if we can keep 11 men on the pitch, we'll be fine."

Goalkeeper Michael Evans and midfielder Dean Foley are available again.
Desborough from: Evans, March, Donativo, Capps, J Ryan, Wood, Greasley, Piggott, Russell, Tolton, Foley, Robinson, Maisto, Marshall, Boath, Blaikie.
