A penalty save by Matt Finlay was the only highlight for Wellingborough Town in a heavy home defeat.
He kept out an early spot-kick awarded for pushing at a corner – only for last season's BGB Southern League Division One Midlands runners-up Leamington to break the deadlock soon afterwards on their way to a 4-0 win.

Doughboys striker Jon Mitchell was denied an equaliser just before the break and within a minute Leamington doubled their lead.

Two second-half goals from set-pieces completed the scoring while the
Warwickshire side also hit the crossbar twice.
