The dream turns to reality for Rothwell Corinthians tomorrow when they play their first-ever game as an Eagle Bitter United Counties League Premier Division side.
Former champions Deeping Rangers are the visitors to Seargents Lawn and assistant manager Andy Pawluk admits the whole club are looking forward to the day.

"It's going to be a great occasion but we also know it's a tough start for us and will be a
case of 'welcome to the Premier Division'," he said.

Deeping finished seventh last term and will have designs on the top six as a minimum this time around.

And they are likely to view sides like Corinthians as good three-point opportunities. But Pawluk says they will not be overawed.

"We'll certainly go out there to attack them and be positive," he said.

"Until we've played a few games we will have no idea of what we need to work on to compete at this level.

"That said, I'm delighted it's at home and how we do at home will be very important."

Corinthians have suffered a blow with experienced players Kev Fox and Tony Ielapi both suspended for the game.

But new signing Andy Greensmith will make his debut and youth-team striker Ian Hay comes into the squad.

Rothwell Corinthians from: Wilson, Dunn, Deacon, Greensmith, Torrance, Wilkinson, T Johnson, B Johnson, Morris, Bewers, White, Emeney, Coles, S Johnson, Briffa, Roberts, Woolmer, Hay.
