Wollaston Carnival Committee is pleased to announce it looks likely that next year's carnival will be going ahead after all.
This is mainly due to the hardworking committee willing to take on the task of putting on the event for another year, rather than the response to our pleas for more members.
This resulted in one (possibly two) extra members, which is a pretty poor return from a population of more than 3,500 adults.
The chairman again is Terry Savage, with Liz Willis as treasurer and the committee splitting the secretary job as no one person had come forward.
The band for 2008 has been provisionally booked and suggestions for an opener were to be investigated in time for the next meeting on Monday, November 19, at The Hill, High Street, Wollaston, at 7.30pm.
If you would like to join us it is still not too late.
Please come along to the meeting or call Terry Savage on 01933 665 209 for more details.
