Matt Pattison has become the latest signing for Rushden & Diamonds on a one-year deal.
Manager Justin Edinburgh believes the former Woking midfielder will provide more balance to the Nene Park squad - particularly down the right wing.
Pattison, 25, missed the final game of last season against Diamonds when the Cards had already been relegated from the Blue Square Premier after 17 years in the top flight of non-League football.
He spent two years at Woking - scoring 11 goals in 78 league games - following previous spells with Farnborough Town and Camberley Town.
Edinburgh said: "He's certainly someone who I have come across numerous times and I've tried to sign him on a couple of occasions when I was manager of previous clubs.
"So I'm really pleased to have finally acquired him on a contract which also gives us the option for another year.
"Matt will give us that balance which we didn't have from a natural wide-right player last season and he can also play on the left.
"Although Woking had a disappointing season and went down, the previous year Matt scored nine times with probably the same amount of assists.
"He has definitely got an eye for goal from that wide position and he's a talented footballer at a good age in his career."
Edinburgh - currently in Ireland to work towards his UEFA 'A' coaching licence - also hopes to complete more signings soon.
Diamonds have agreed deals with a striker and a centre-half who both played against them last term.
The season-long loans for two midfielders from a Coca-Cola Championship club will be confirmed when one of the youngsters returns from a family break in time for the start of pre-season training at the end of this month.
Edinburgh has already brought in York City striker Craig Farrell and former Barnet midfielder Max Porter while also keeping hold of Nicky McNamara and Kurt Robinson who both impressed with Diamonds at the end of last season.
