In 2005, Panther signed for York City where he became team captain and made over 100 appearances.

The midfielder moved to newly-promoted Exeter City on a free transfer in May 2008 but has struggled to gain first-team football having made only two substitute appearances so far this season.

Panther plays in central midfield and will be given squad number 16.
