Singers excited about busy year
A CHOIR is looking forward to a busy year of performances.
Kettering Camerata Choir’s 2012 programme includes a concert to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and one in aid of Help for Heroes the day before Armistice Day.
Musical director Jonathan Sheldon said: “We are all very excited about the year ahead. Not only are we hard at work preparing for our regular season of concerts, but we are also planning some extra appearances around the county, which we hope will allow us to continue to expand our repertoire and bring us into contact with an even wider audience.”
The choir will hold a spring concert at the United Reformed Church, London Road, Kettering, at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 31.
Plans are being made to mark the Jubilee with a summer concert under the banner ‘Merrie England’ on July 8.
On November 10 the choir will host an evening of music in aid of Help for Heroes, which support injured service personnel,at the Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering.
