Love was in the air as community group Hayden Flag held a day of Valentine-themed events.

Youngsters took part in a Valentine’s craft event on Sunday at Rushden & Higham United’s ground in Hayden Road, Rushden.

The children made love-themed decorations, including lots of hearts, to decorate the hall in romantic designs for a special love quiz which took place in the evening.

Theresa Patrick from Hayden Flag said: “They made quite a few hearts and decorated them. They were placed on the tables for when people did the quiz.

“The quiz was quite well attended, we raised £81.”

Kira Loveday won a prize for designing the best heart.
