A chance to get something back
I pray that the Rushden Lakes plan will go through, not just for the jobs that will be created in the immediate area for the long term but the spin off service jobs and people needed to build the Rushden Lakes site.
Locals will be brushed aside
I understand that Phase 1 of Desborough Leisure Centre has been completed at The Grange in Desborough but I have not seen any statement about how Phase 2, which contains additional facilities, will be funded.

Delighted to honour forces
We were absolutely delighted that Corby Borough Council unanimously voted to support the Conservative proposal of granting the Royal Anglian Regiment the honour of Freedom of the Borough.

Choice cause of parking problem
So far in the past few weeks we have seen the walking bus school in Corby, parking problems at schools and now children not getting in to their preferred school.

Take water from flooded rivers
The Anglian Water hosepipe ban and start of the cricket season was the signal for the heavens to open and the rivers to swell and flood warnings to be issued.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of former Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Pat Fawcett, on April 28.
