A new drop-in creche for busy mums nipping off to appointments is to open next Friday.

Auntie Sarah’s Creche in Gold Street, Kettering, will give parents the chance to leave children for an hour-and-a-half sessions as they go shopping, visit the bank, go to a beauty salon or attend other appointments.

Mum-of-three Sarah Stewart, 31, of Geddington, who has opened the creche with her friend Sarah Scott, said: “This is something we have wanted to set up for a long time.

“We both have children of our own and know what children want and enjoy.

“We wanted to offer something for families to help them out. We know how difficult it is for parents when they want to get something done.”

Up to 10 children will be able to do arts and crafts, do jigsaws, play with toys and watch videos in the creche, which will be open from 10am to 12.30pm on Fridays and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.

The creche is accessed through Charlie’s Angels.
