Daisy’s day marks 100 years

Centenarian Daisy White has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Mrs White, nee Maycock, was treated to two parties to celebrate her special day on Monday.
A champagne reception attended by family and close friends took place on Sunday, and that was followed by a birthday bash with entertainment at her home, The Park House Care Home in Wellingborough, on Monday.
Mrs White is formerly of Rushden and she spent many of her early years at Knuston Farm where she was the youngest of nine children.
In 1934 she married her husband George.
The couple enjoyed 67 years together and they had two daughters, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
