About 130 youngsters at a nursery sang songs and performed the actions to help raise money for a charity which supports children with speech, language and communication difficulties.

Children at Kiddi Caru in Farm Road, Wellingborough, took part in the event, which was named the Chatterbox Challenge.

Alysha Bannister from the nursery said the children had enjoyed singing.

She said: “We chose two songs to sing which were action songs and sent lots of information home with the children to get the parents involved.

“It’s to get them to sing with the children and understand how early communication starts.

“In nursery we did some group sing songs and they all collected sponsors.

“The whole nursery took part, from babies right up to the pre-school children.

“We did it every day for a week so everyone managed to take part in it.

“It was lots of fun, they love singing.”

Sponsorship is now being collected in.

Branches of Kiddi Caru nationwide have all taken part in the fundraiser.
