Children enjoy half-term activities
YOUNGSTERS enjoyed five days of activities at an estate’s community centre during the half-term break from school.
Activities took place from Monday to Friday at the Hemmingwell Community and Skills Centre in Nest Farm Crescent, Wellingborough, to keep youngsters on the estate amused.
Cathy Mulholland, chairman of Hemmingwell Residents’ Association, which ran the activities, said the week had proved to be very popular with the youngsters.
She said: “We had games, pool, arts and crafts, face painting and we played Just Dance on the Wii.
“They really enjoyed it, they all had a fantastic time.
“On Thursday we had about 65 children and on Monday there was about 50 children.
“It went really well.”

Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 11:12 PMThe children who enjoyed this weeks activities had better have made the most of it because it looks like it will have to close as Wellingborough Council refuse to support it anymore. What a shame for the kids.
