Art business gets thanks from chef

AN ART business based in Kettering has been thanked by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver for helping raise more than £100,000 for his charity.

Coulson MacLeod designed a bespoke piece of art for the The Jamie Oliver Foundation’s annual charity evening called A Big Night Out With Jamie.

The London show was hosted by Ben Shephard and attracted hundreds of diners who paid £6,500 for table and a live performance by Kate Nash.

The piece of artwork donated was won by David Ellender, chief executive of Fremantle Media, the name behind TV shows such as the X Factor.

Mr Ellender paid £950 in a silent auction.

It was the second year he had won artwork donated by the art business.

Mr Oliver wrote to the owners Mark Coulson and Hannah Mcleod to thank them for the gift.

The pair also received a signed copy of the chef’s book Jamie’s Great Britain.
