Animal charity is looking for helpers

ANIMAL lovers can help out at a local charity which is looking for volunteers.

Little Irchester-based charity Animals in Need is appealing for more volunteers aged over 16 to help with dog walking, cleaning and fundraising.

Charity spokesman Annette Marriott said: “Animals In Need is a charity dedicated to rescuing sick, injured, trapped and distressed wild and domestic animals. We’re run solely by volunteers and we need more people to help.

“It’s a really satisfying thing to do and we’re a friendly group of people. We look after all sorts of animals – from dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets waiting to be re-homed to injured wild animals such as orphaned birds and hedgehogs.”

Anyone interested can call 01933 278080 or email admin@animals-in-need.org.
