Builders' merchant Travis Perkins has bought tile retailer Tile It All for an undisclosed sum.
The business, which trades from 16 outlets mainly in the North-east of England and Scotland, earned underlying profits of £1.3 million for the year to 30 April 2007.

Northampton-based Travis now has 67 tile stores across the country.

Meanwhile, hotel and restaurant group Whitbread has agreed a five-year deal to outsource its food logistics operations to Kuehne and Nagel.

It will involve the phased transition of operations from existing Whitbread depots in Reading and Castle Donnington to a new site based in Wellingborough.
