ITV cuts jobs at Anglia Tonight

Up to 34 jobs are to be cut at ITV's Anglia Tonight as part of plans to merge its east and west programmes into a single pan-regional show.
A spokesman for ITV said staff at the news channel, which covers the East of England, including Northampton, were being given the chance to take voluntary redundancy.
But compulsory job losses could not be ruled out, he said.
Unions have criticised the plans which are part of ITV News' move to cut 430 jobs in its regional news service across the UK to reduce costs.
Laura Davison, assistant broadcasting officer of the National Union of Journalists, said she could not rule out industrial action.
"We do not accept the level of cuts ITV News wants to make and it is difficult to see how we can avoid a fight over this."
Anglia Tonight, which has its main office in Norwich, also has offices in Northampton, Ipswich, Luton, Chelmsford, Cambridge and Peterborough.
