An engineering firm from Northampton has celebrated its 25th anniversary by raising £1,700 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
AES Control Systems, based in Moulton Park, Northampton, held a gala dinner dance at the Marriott Hotel in Northampton, including a charity raffle that raised £850.
Director Paul Leeson said: "It is a charity which was close to everybody's hearts and it was all done on that night.
"We asked suppliers to donate gifts and there was 120 people at the do."
Directors of the company then decided to match the money raised and presented a cheque to Lisa Donald, fund-raising manager for Macmillan in Northampton.
Lisa said: "It was a great pleasure to meet Paul and the staff at AES and to receive this fabulous donation which we will use locally to help those affected by cancer.
"We would like to thank all the staff of AES for nominating us as their charity and extend further thanks to Paul and the other directors for matching what was made on the gala evening. This money will be put to very good use locally."
More information about Macmillan Cancer Support is available online at www.macmillan.org.uk.
